Alpine Aviation, Inc. is a full-service aviation company based in Grass Valley, California, nestled in the scenic foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains just 50 miles north of Sacramento. Founded in 1990 by Sandy and Gordon Mills, Alpine remains proudly family-owned and operated, built on a foundation of safety, quality, and personalized service.

Since becoming an FAA Certificated Air Carrier in 1991, Alpine Aviation has operated a wide variety of aircraft—from single- and twin-engine planes to turboprops—to support our growing aircraft charter operations. Shortly thereafter, we expanded into flight training, aircraft maintenance, and by 2014, seaplane instruction. Today, Alpine is one of only three facilities in the U.S. offering seaplane aircraft rental, making us a trusted destination for both traditional and specialized flight training.

In 2006, Alpine Aviation became an FAA-Certified Repair Station and is now an authorized service center for Diamond and Cessna aircraft, providing expert maintenance for most single- and twin-engine aircraft, along with select turbine models. Our team also specializes in avionics services, offering everything from full instrument panel upgrades to ADS-B installations and custom avionics integration.

In 2017, Alpine Aviation became a proud Authorized Sales Representative for Diamond Aircraft, known for their sleek design, fuel-efficient performance, and advanced flight technology—perfect for both training and personal use.

To further support aircraft owners, Alpine offers a comprehensive Aircraft Maintenance Management Program, ensuring each aircraft is maintained in full compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer standards, and service bulletins. We currently manage over 20 aircraft, giving owners peace of mind with expert oversight and proactive service.
